Privacy
What MedOS stores, why, and what it doesn't.
Last updated May 23, 2026
Plain version
MedOS stores your email, the school + start date you entered at onboarding, the resources you mark complete, your reviews, and your Doc chat history. That's it. It does not store patient data, real NBME score reports, or anything you didn't type into MedOS yourself.
Where it lives
Your data is stored in Supabase (Postgres) on US-region infrastructure. Row-level security restricts every row to its owning user — your dashboard never reads another student's progress, even via the API.
Doc & Anthropic
Messages you send to Doc are forwarded to Anthropic's API to generate a reply. Anthropic processes them under its API privacy terms and does not train on API traffic by default. We store the message and reply against your chat so you can pick it up later.
Payments
Stripe processes billing. MedOS never sees your card number; we store only the customer/subscription IDs Stripe gives back.
What MedOS will never do
- Share your activity with your school, your residency program, or any third party for advertising.
- Connect your Doc chats or Anki history to your real name in any external dataset.
- Sell or rent your data.
Deleting your data
Email hi@medos.app from your account's email and we delete every row keyed to your user within seven days.
